Longtime Danbury resident, Bill Katzing, honored
his late brother, Gregory Katzing, with a brick for
his service. Gregory served in the US Air
Force with the 351st Security Police. The
brick was placed in the walkway for Veterans Day
2020.
Project Organizer Lee Teicholz and his wife, Mary,
present a $1000 check from the brick sale profits
to State of Connecticut Department of Veterans
Affairs Commissioner Thomas Saadi at the Veterans
Day Ceremony on November 11, 2018. The funds
will be utilized for the Veterans Outreach Program.

the European Theater of
Operations during WWII.
The brick was one of the 115
bricks placed in the
walkway for Veterans Day 2018.

Twelve granite pillars each mounted with a
bronze armed forces medallion and plaque representing
each of the six veteran organizations within
the city were installed for Memorial
Day 2015.

Honoring the many requests that were received by
donors, the
bricks
were arranged next to family members
or friends. Each brick was then numbered
for final installation.

delivered the rock that was used to mount
the Veterans Walkway of Honor plaque at the beginning of the walkway.
